PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Bridgewater State University’s Aaron Fowler and Maine Maritime Academy’s Patrick Saltysiak have been named the Little East Conference (LEC) men’s swimming and diving weekly award recipients for their performances during the week ending Oct. 25, 2026.

Swimmer of the Week: Aaron Fowler, Bridgewater State

Fowler, a senior from Brookline, Mass., won the 50-yard butterfly and finished second in the 50-yard freestyle to help Bridgewater State place fourth at the Roger Williams Invitational. He touched first in the butterfly in 23.37 seconds and clocked 21.63 seconds in the freestyle. Fowler also contributed a 23.20-second butterfly split to the Bears’ fifth-place 200-yard medley relay, which finished in 1:41.23, and a 22.01-second split to the third-place 200-yard freestyle relay, which posted a time of 1:28.57.

Rookie Swimmer of the Week: Patrick Saltysiak, Maine Maritime

Saltysiak, a freshman from Bar Harbor, Maine, recorded three top-five finishes to help Maine Maritime place fifth with 308.5 points at the Fisher Invitational. He finished fourth in the 100-yard backstroke in 55.60 seconds and fifth in the 50-yard breaststroke in 28.27 seconds. Saltysiak also swam the opening leg of the fourth-place 200-yard medley relay, which finished in 1:42.93, and placed 10th in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:11.06.
