Melgar gave Eastern a 2-0 lead with his first goal of the year two minutes into the second half, and buried what proved to be the game-winner with 16 minutes left, giving the Warriors a 3-1 lead at the time. Rookie of the Week Luizandro Sanches (Pawtucket, R.I.) - Freshman - Forward - Rhode Island College Sanches scored the first two goals of his college career in a 3-0 non-conference rout of Clark on Wednesday. He opened the scoring in the 40th-minute and closed out the scoring in the 87th-minute to defeat the Cougars.
