WELLESLEY, Mass. - The Eastern Connecticut State University men’s swimming & diving team captured its first-ever Little East Conference title this weekend at the Boston Sports Institute, totaling 845 points over the three-plus day event.
 
The Warriors had each of the top-four finishers in the 200 butterfly to pull away and secure the team title. Boden Tito led the way with a winning time of 1:57.09, followed by Connor Rego (1:57.75), Eric Quiterio (2:02.64) and Ethan Rychling (2:08.10).
 
Maine Maritime’s Carson Trout opened the night’s action with a winning time of 47.22 seconds in the 100 freestyle, setting a new LEC record in the event. Fellow Mariner John Driscoll later claimed the gold medal in the 50 backstroke with a LEC-record time of 24.60 seconds. They helped lead the Mariners to a second-place finish in their first-ever LEC Championship appearance.
 
Bridgewater State’s Matthew Jo was victorious in the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 17:05.53, topping the field by 15 seconds. Desmond Ng later claimed the 200 breaststroke title with a LEC-record time of 2:05.26, topping the previous mark (2:10.46) by five seconds.
 
Husson’s 400 freestyle relay capped the night’s events with a winning time of 3;13.49. The Eagles gold medal team was comprised of Ryan Emerson, Alex Walsh, Brady Hand and Brayden Champlin. Keene State’s Aaron Turgeon broke his own LEC record in the 100 IM, placing first tonight with a time of 53.01 seconds.
 
The presentation of the 2025 LEC major award winners followed the night’s individual honors, following a vote of the LEC’s head coaches. This year’s recipients are as follows.
