Player of the Week

Jack Mortson (Detroit, Mich.) - Junior - Forward - UMass Boston
Mortson had a three-goal weekend as the Beacons went 1-1 at the Utica Thanksgiving Showcase. He scored twice against 10th-ranked Utica on Friday in a 5-4 overtime loss, knotting the score at two with 1:18 left in the first before pulling UMass Boston back within one, 4-3, at 6:37 of the third. Mortson then potted what proved to be the game-winner with five minutes to go in the second period of a 2-1 win over SUNY Morrisville on Saturday.

Goaltender of the Week

Nate Mueller (Rogers, Minn.) - Senior - Babson
Mueller went 1-0-1 with a 1.44 goals against average and a .940 save percentage after stopping 47-of-50 shots in two starts over the weekend for the 11th-ranked Beavers. He made 23 saves in Saturday’s 4-2 victory over Williams, and then stopped 24 shots during regulation and overtime and all three shootout attempts as the Beavers battled to a 1-1 tie with Amherst on Sunday. 

Rookie of the Week

Frank D'Ancona (Fort Myers, Fla.) - Freshman - Forward - Norwich
D'Ancona drove the Cadets to a LayerEight Shootout title with 2 assists on Friday in a 4-1 against Stevenson, and dished another helper on the game-tying goal on Saturday against Middlebury before potting the shootout winner to cap a three-point weekend where he earned Tournament MVP honors.
