Three LEC Field Hockey Athletes Named to 2025 NFHCA Division III Senior Team

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Three Little East Conference (LEC) field hockey student-athletes have been named to the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Collegiate Senior Team, it was announced by the coaches organization Thursday. They were among the 60 DIII honorees this season.
 
The NFHCA release states “This honor celebrates their competitive excellence, leadership, and lasting influence within their programs.” Selections are based on nominations submitted by NFHCA member coaches and reviewed by committees composed entirely of NFHCA coach members. Seniors are eligible for selection only once during their collegiate careers.
 
The LEC’s honorees, with their postseason awards to-date are as follows.
 
Emma Sanson - Forward - Eastern Connecticut

2025 Stats: 15 Goals, 5 Assists, 35 Points
 
Grace Bazin - Forward - Keene State
2025 LEC Offensive Player of the Year
2025 First Team All-LEC
2025 Stats: 37 Goals, 9 Assists, 83 Points
 
Jess Smithson - Defender - Vermont State University Castleton
2025 LEC Defensive Player of the Year
2025 First Team All-LEC
2025 Stats: 5 Goals, 2 Assists, 12 Points, 11 Defensive Saves
