Player of the Week

Abby Wager (Mansfield, Mass.) - Junior - Guard - Rhode Island College 
Wager helped lead the Anchorwomen to a 3-1 week, as RIC played four games in seven days to open the 2025-26 season. She averaged 19 points, eight rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.3 blocks and 2.8 steals per contest.

Wager opened the week scoring 12 points with five boards and three steals in a 52-43 win over Western New England, which was receiving votes in the WBCA Preseason Coaches’ Poll, before pumping in 28 points to go along with seven steals and three rebounds in a 77-66 loss at Brandeis. She had 18 points with nine boards and two blocks in an 82-70 home victory over TCNJ on Friday and capped the week dropping 18 points with 15 rebounds, six blocks and four assists in a 75-62 home win over Johnson & Wales on Saturday.

Rookie of the Week

Sydney Cassidy (Somers, Conn.) - Freshman - Guard/Forward - Keene State
Cassidy poured in 17 points on 56 percent (5-of-9) shooting from the floor with a pair of threes in the Owls’ 97-59 rout of New England College Tuesday. She was also a perfect 5-for-5 at the line with two rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in the victory.
