Zainab Patel (Ahmedabad, India) - Junior - UMass Boston
Patel was perfect at the No. 1 positions as UMass Boston posted a pair of shutout wins in LEC play last week over Vermont State Castleton and UMass Dartmouth to remain undefeated in league play and improve to a combined 17-1 overall this season. She teamed with Sandra Watson for a pair of shutout victories in doubles play, while registering a shutout singles win against Castleton and a 6-2, 6-2 singles victory over UMass Dartmouth. 

Rookie of the Week

Althea Bradley (North Reading, Mass.) - Freshman - UMass Boston
Bradley was a combined 4-0 at No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles for the Beacons last week, helping them post a pair of 7-0 conference wins; both doubles matches were played alongside Tatiana Malone. She was a 6-2 doubles winner and a 6-0, 6-1 single winner against Vermont State Castleton before notching a 6-4 doubles win and a 6-2, 6-2 singles triumph over UMass Dartmouth.
