PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Plymouth State University holds a narrow lead over the University of Massachusetts Boston in the 2024-25 Little East Conference (LEC) Commissioner’s Cup Standings through the fall sports season. The Panthers had a scoring average of 6.43, just one-tenth of a point better than the Beacons (6.33).

For sports in which the LEC conducts in-season play (baseball, basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball), points are determined by the ranked order of finish in the final regular season standings. For sports that do not conduct in-season play (cross country, golf, swimming & diving, track & field), points are awarded based on the order of finish at the LEC championship meet.

Plymouth State won the LEC regular season title in women’s volleyball, placed second at the men’s cross country championship, was third field hockey and women’s tennis, and fourth in men’s soccer and women’s cross country. UMass Boston finished atop the LEC women’s tennis standings, was second in both men’s and women’s soccer, and finished third in women’s volleyball.

Defending LEC Commissioner’s Cup champion Keene State College (5.79) sits in fourth through the fall season, which was highlighted by the Owls sweeping the men’s and women’s cross country championships and finishing second in the final field hockey standings.
