Offensive Player of the Week / Rookie of the Week
Sofia Schallmo (Norwood, Mass.) - Freshman - Forward - UMass Boston
Schallmo was named the LEC Offensive Player of the Week and the LEC Rookie of the Week after accounting for each of the Beacons’ four goals scored over two matches last week, including a hat trick in UMass Boston’s 3-3 draw with league rival Western Connecticut. She also had the team’s lone tally in a setback to LEC-leading Southern Maine. Schallmo leads the conference with 16 goals and 38 total points through the first 12 games of her collegiate career.
Defensive Player of the Week
Adriana Adames (Farmingdale, N.Y.) - Sophomore - Defense - UMass Dartmouth
Adames was named the LEC Defensive Player of the Week after leading a backline that allowed just one goal in a 2-0-0 week for the Corsairs, who defeated Rhode Island College (1-0) and Vermont State Castleton (2-1) in league action last week. She also contributed the lone goal in UMass Dartmouth’s victory over the Anchorwomen/
Goalkeeper of the Week
Alex Ignatowicz (Coventry, Conn.) - Freshman - Eastern Connecticut
Ignatowicz was named the LEC Goalkeeper of the Week after going 1-1-0 with a 0.50 goals against average and .933 save percentage, stopping 14 of the 15 shots on goal she faced over 180 minutes. She totaled seven saves in a 2-0 victory over Plymouth State after notching seven stops in a 1-0 setback to WestConn.
