LEC Announces 2023 Women’s Soccer Championship Tournament Field

PROVIDENCE. R.I. - The Little East Conference (LEC) announced the field for the 2023 LEC Women’s Soccer Championship Tournament Saturday, following the conclusion of the 2023 regular season schedule.
 
Defending LEC champion Southern Maine (20 points) is once again the No. 1 Seed and, along with No. 2 Western Connecticut (16 points), receive a First Round bye. The Huskies will host the winner Tuesday’s opening round match between No. 4 UMass Boston (13 points) and No. 5 Rhode Island College (11 points), while the Wolves will host the winner of No. 3 Keene State (14 points) and No. 6 Eastern Connecticut (seven points).
 
Southern Maine won its first-ever LEC tournament title last season with a 3-1 overtime win over WestConn. The Wolves own a LEC-record 12 tournament titles, most recently taking home the crown in 2021.
 
Eastern Connecticut and Keene State are both in search of their fifth LEC tournament title win, the Warriors last won in 2011, while the Owls last tournament win came in 2014. The Beacons are a two-time LEC champion (2012, 2019), while the Anchorwomen are in search of their first-ever league championship.

Thursday, Nov. 2 - Semifinals
No. 1 Southern Maine hosts 4/5 Winner
No. 2 Western Connecticut hosts 3/6 Winner
 
Saturday, Nov. 4 - Final
