PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and D3baseball.com 2022 All-America Teams honored five Little East Conference (LEC) baseball players.
 
2022 NCAA Division III national champion Eastern Connecticut State University led the way with three All-America honorees in starting pitcher Bryan Albee (Second Team ABCA, Fifth Team D3baseball.com), third baseman Luke Broadhurst (Third Team ABCA, Fourth Team D3baseball.com) and catcher Matt Malcom (Third Team D3baseball.com).
 
Albee posted a record of 12-0 with five saves while starting in nine of his 26 total appearances in 2022. He finished the season with a 1.75 ERA and .199 opponent batting average while fanning 63 batters over his 85.2 innings of work.
 
The 2022 LEC Player of the Year and ABCA Region II Position Player of the Year, Broadhurst batted .406 with 67 hits, 12 doubles, four triples, 13 homers, 60 runs scored, 50 RBI and 12 stolen bases this season. He posted a .531 on-base percentage, slugged .764 and had a 1.295 OPS.
 
Malcom batted .351 with 59 hits, 11 doubles, 10 homers, 57 RBI and 53 runs scored to go with 11 stolen bases. He posted a .988 fielding percentage behind the plate, committing just five errors in 411 total chances, while throwing out 14-of-27 runners attempting to steal a base.
 
Rhode Island College had a pair of D3baseball.com All-America selections in second baseman Cal Parrillo and starting pitcher Andrew Sears. Sears, the 2022 LEC Pitcher of the Year, garnered Fourth Team All-America honors after going 8-1 in his 12 starts with two shutouts, a 2.29 ERA and 96 strikeouts in 74.2 innings of work.
 
Parrillo was named a Fifth Team All-American after he started in each of his 40 games played this season, batting .430 with 51 runs scored, a program-record 71 hits, 14 doubles, two triples, seven homers, 52 RBI and seven stolen bases. He owned a .667 slugging percentage, a .505 on-base percentage and a .977 fielding percentage.
