PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Following an undefeated season in Little East Conference (LEC) play, UMass Boston claimed the regular season title and the No. 1 Seed in next week’s LEC Championship Tournament. As the No. 1 Seed, the Beacons have a First Round bye in the six-team tournament.
Keene State secured the No. 2 seed in the tournament with a 7-1 conference record during the regular season, with its lone loss coming to UMass Boston. The Owls also receive a First Round bye in the conference tournament.
Third-seeded Western Connecticut (6-2) will host a First Round game Tuesday against sixth-seeded Plymouth State (3-5), while fourth-seeded Massachusetts Maritime (5-3) will host fifth-seeded Eastern Connecticut (4-4) in the opening round.
