Bryan Kolacz is one of the most decorated men’s track & field athletes in Little East Conference (LEC) and Keene State College history, having won a total of 17 LEC individual titles while turning in five All-America performances and winning one NCAA Division III national championship in the hammer from 2008-11.

Kolacz was undefeated at the LEC Indoor championships in the weight throw and at the LEC Outdoor championships in the discus. He was a three-time LEC champion in the shot put during both the indoor (2008, 2009, 2011) and outdoor (2008, 2010, 2011) seasons, and was also a three-time outdoor champion in the hammer (2008, 2010, 2011). Kolacz was the first-ever four-time LEC champion in the weight and discus, and was the second athlete to be a three-time champion in the hammer and shot put (indoor and outdoor).

Kolacz’s LEC-record toss of 60.37 meters in the hammer in 2011 remains the event record to this day. He twice set the LEC record in the wight throw, first with a winning mark of 18.50 meters as a sophomore before winning with a throw of 18.71 meters as a senior; the later mark is now second in Conference history. Kolacz helped lead KSC to the 2008 LEC indoor championship, its second in program history.

The Brentwood, New Hampshire native won the 2009 NCAA Division III national championship in the hammer with a top mark of 61.46 meters, which was the first of his five career All-America performances. He went on to place third in the hammer (60.12m) and sixth in the weight (18.44) as a junior, before placing second in the hammer (63.85m) and seventh in the weight (19.09m) as a senior.

Kolacz earned his bachelor’s degree from Keene State in 2011. He was inducted into the Owls’ Athletics / Alumni Hall of Fame in 2019.
