Lilly Silva was one of the most prolific scorers in Plymouth State field hockey history, while leading the Panthers to a pair of Little East Conference regular season titles and the 2002 LEC tournament championship. PSU made one NCAA tournament appearance and qualified for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) tournament on three occasions during her career.

A three-time All-LEC First Team honoree,  Silva graduated with program bests of 66 career goals and 155 career points – marks that still stand today.

As a freshman Silva helped guide Plymouth State to a perfect 10-0 league mark and a third straight LEC Tournament Championship, as well as a second-round appearance in NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. The Panthers were back in the LEC tournament final during her junior campaign and claimed a share of the conference regular season title he senior season.

Silva’s most impressive season came as a junior in 2004 when she notched 27 goals and 58 points – both the second highest totals in a season in program history – while helping the Panthers to a program-best 18-4 record. She tallied all three Panthers’ goals as PSU outlasted Wellesley College, 3-2, in overtime to capture the ECAC New England Tournament title. Her season concluded with a selection to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III All-New England West Region Second Team.

The Lowell, Massachusetts native collected even more accolades as a senior the following year as she was named the 2005 LEC Offensive Player of the Year, a NFHCA First Team All-New England West Region selection, and a Third Team All-American by WomensFieldHockey.com. The Panthers claimed their second LEC regular season title during her tenure in a season that saw her tally 19 goals and 45 points. She was honored as PSU’s Janet Nell Female Athlete of the Year, and appeared in the NFHCA Division III North/South Senior All-Star game.

Silva earned her Bachelor of Science degree in physical education in 2006. She was inducted into the Plymouth State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2013 and the Lowell (Mass.) High School Hall of Fame in 2014.
