Nicole Riley is one of the greatest pitchers in Rhode Island College softball history, starring in the circle from 2004-07. She posted a 77-20 record to go along with five saves, a 1.54 ERA, 600 strikeouts, 59 complete games and 23 shutouts.

At the conclusion of her career, she was Rhode Island College’s all-time leader in career appearances, games started, wins, relief appearances (24), and shutouts. She ranked second in both innings pitched and strikeouts, while placing third in career ERA and fourth in complete games.

The two-time LEC Pitcher of the Year and First-Team All-LEC selection earned First-Team All-Region honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), and was named a Second-Team All-American as a senior after going 29-5 with a 1.12 earned run average and 233 strikeouts in 219.1 innings of work. She was also named the 2007 Cox Sports Television Rhode Island Female Athlete of the Year.

Riley helped lead the Anchorwomen to the NCAA National Championship Round and an NCAA New England Regional Championship in 2007. Riley was a member of three LEC regular season championship teams and two LEC tournament winners.
