Richard Myers totaled 297 victories during his 17-year (1988-2004) tenure leading the WestConn women’s volleyball program, which included seven 20-win seasons, six consecutive LEC regular season titles (1999-2004) and five straight LEC tournament championships (1999-2003).
The Colonials advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament in three of their five appearances under Myers, and won 49 consecutive LEC matches from 1998-2004.
Myers was the first Western Connecticut head coach to be named LEC Women’s Volleyball Coach of the Year, earning the honor in both 2000 and 2001. His players totaled 28 All-LEC honors and took home nine major LEC awards.
