Tony Barros was a three-time All-LEC performer during his four seasons at UMass Boston, and was named the 2006 LEC Player of the Year after leading the Beacons to their first-ever LEC tournament title. That same season, he was named a First-Team All-District selection by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
Barros finished his collegiate career second on the program’s all-time scoring list with 1,923 career points, and to-date remains the program record-holder in 15 categories. Among the records he holds are most points in a game (48 at Western Connecticut, February 20, 2007) and a season (634, 2006-07), career 3-point field goals made (326), 3-point field goals made in a season (95, 2005-06) and free throws made in a game (17 vs. Plymouth State, January 9, 2007).
