Hall of Fame
Crystal Blamy is one of the most successful athletes in the storied history of the Keene State College track & field program, having won two NCAA Division III national championships and earning three All-America honors in the high jump in her three seasons as an Owl.
Blamy became just the third athlete in the history of Division III to win the national title in the high jump for indoor and outdoor high jump in the same season. She captured the indoor championship after clearing 1.67 meters before claiming the outdoor championship with a winning height 1.65 meters. She also won the LEC indoor (1.65m) and outdoor (1.67m) championships for the first time as a senior, which helped lead to her being named the first-ever Little East Conference (LEC) Field Athlete of the Year for both seasons.
Blamy earned her first All-America honor with a fourth-place finish at the 2006 NCAA indoor championships, which saw her clear 1,70 meters. Blamy remains Keene State’s program record-holder in the high jump for both the indoor (1.73m) and outdoor (1.76m) seasons. She tied the LEC indoor championship record in 2008, which still stands as the conference standard, and was the LEC runner-up in the high jump at the 2006 LEC indoor and outdoor championships.
As a team, Keene State finished second in the LEC standings in each of the four LEC championships in which Blamy was able to compete. Blamy’s 2008 national title wins helped lead the Owls to fourth-place finishes in the final team standings at both meets.
Blamy earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Keene State in 2008, and was inducted into the Keene State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2021. She completed her third season as an assistant coach for the Owls in 2023.
