Jessica (Knight) Tremblay is the most decorated player in the history of the University of Southern Maine women’s lacrosse program. She was just the second player in league history to repeat as Little East Conference (LEC) Offensive Player of the Year, a feat she first accomplished in 2009. The 2007 LEC Rookie of the Year was a four-time All-LEC selection, earning First Team honors her sophomore through senior seasons.

Tremblay led the Huskies to four consecutive LEC tournament appearances, including their first two LEC tournament final appearances. USM advanced to the conference final for the first time in 2008 before capturing its first-ever LEC tournament title two years later as the fifth-seeded Huskies recorded a 15-14 victory over third-seeded Eastern Connecticut, which also sent Southern Maine to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament for the first time in program history.

The 2010 campaign saw Tremblay set program records for goals (77) and total points (88) on her way to being named the LEC Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season and First Team All-LEC for the third consecutive year. Those honors were followed by her being named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) all-region teams, making her the first in USM history to receive those accolades.

Tremblay’s 77 goals in 2010 remain the program record to this day, as do her 209 career goals and 248 career points. Her 88 points in 2010 are now the second-highest single-season total in program history, while her 39 career assists rank 10th all-time.

Tremblay earned her bachelor’s degree in  psychology from Southern Maine in 2012, and went on to earn her master’s in school counseling from USM in 2019. She and was inducted into Southern Maine’s Husky Hall of Fame in 2018.
