Western Connecticut’s Autumn Sorice Named All-American by United Soccer Coaches

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Western Connecticut State University senior Autumn Sorice (Bethel, Conn.) has been named a 2017 Second-Team All-American by the United Soccer Coaches, it was announced by the association Friday. She is the fifth Colonial and the 19th Little East Conference (LEC) student-athlete to earn All-America honors from the former National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Sorice was named the LEC Offensive Player of the Year and a first-team all-conference selection for the third straight season after leading the conference in goals (16), assists (9) and points (41) this season while leading Western Connecticut to the 2017 LEC regular season and tournament championships. She was additionally named an all-region selection for the third consecutive year.

Sorice was named the 2017 LEC Championship Tournament Most Outstanding Player after scoring two goals, both of which were in the Colonials' 2-1 double-overtime LEC championship game victory, and assisting on another.
