UMass Dartmouth’s Entwistle and Louf-Woods Post All-America Performances on Second Day of 2018 NCAA Outdoor Championships

LA CROSSE, Wisc. – UMass Dartmouth senior Jared Louf-Woods (Salem, Mass.) and sophomore Jordan Entwistle (Northborough, Mass.) turned in All-America performances on the second day of competition at the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships. The Corsairs are tied for sixth in the team standings entering the final day of competition.

Louf-Woods placed fourth in the shot put with a toss of 16.84 meters, while Entwistle placed fourth in the javelin with his throw of 65.17 meters. DeBuque's Blaze Murfin won the shot put (18.62m), while George Fox's Seth Nonnenmacher won the javelin (73.75m).

UMass Dartmouth junior Steve Tencati (Clinton, Mass.) finished 10th in the javelin (60.60m), while UMass Boston senior Dominic Nda (Pittsfield, Mass.) finished 13th in the 100-meter dash in 10.98 seconds, which was just 0.08 seconds back of the last finals qualifying spots. Sophomore George Papoulis (Haverhill, Mass.) crossed the finish line in 1:52.27 in the 800-meter run, placing him 14th overall.  

The 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships will conclude Saturday.
