Brunnette and UMass Boston’s 4x100 Relay Qualify for Finals on First Day of 2018 NCAA Outdoor Championships

LA CROSSE, Wisc. – Plymouth State junior Sam Brunnette (Newport Center, Vt.) and UMass Boston's 4x100 relay qualified for Saturday's finals on the first day of competition at the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships.

Brunnette advanced to the 3,000-meter steeplechase final after placing 10th in the prelims with his time of 9:24.44. The Beacons' 4x100 relay comprised of junior Bless Amedoadzi (Boston, Mass.), senior Dominic Nda (Boston, Mass.), senior Garth Miriyoga (Johannesburg, South Africa) and sophomore Stefan Powell (Pittsfield, Mass.) moved on to Saturday's finals after placing sixth in Thursday's prelims (41.15).

The 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships resume Friday morning.
