NEW ORLEANS – The UMass Dartmouth men's indoor track & field team dropped three spots to No. 19 in the current U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national ranking. The Corsairs jumping into the top-25 for the first time this season at No. 19 last week following the Little East Conference (LEC) Championships.
Senior Jared Louf-Woods (Salem, Mass) is ranked No. 1 in Division III in the weight throw (19.23m) and ranks 11th in the shot put (16.23m), while sophomore George Papoulis (Haverhill, Mass.) ranks eighth in the 800-meter run (1:52.37). junior Joao Baptista (Medford, Mass.) is 24th in the high jump (2.03m) on the national leader list.
At this past weekend's Division III Regional Championship meet, Louf-Woods won the weight throw (19.14m), while Baptista placed third in the high jump (1.96m). Freshman Moisse Irizarry (Peabody, Mass.) recorded a third-place in the 60 hurdles (8.44)
