MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Bless Amedoadzi (Boston, Mass.), Junior, UMass Boston
Amedoadzi was named LEC Track Athlete of the Week for the first time after posting a sixth place finish at the NEICAAA Indoor Championship in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.02 seconds. He qualified for the finals with a prelim time of 7.03 seconds.
MEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Jared Louf-Woods (Salem, Mass.), Senior, UMass Dartmouth
Louf-Woods was named LEC Field Athlete of the Week for the third time after playing third in the weight throw (19.12m) and fifth in the shot put (15.51m) at the New England Open Championships, both sent new program records. He is currently ranked No. 1 in Division III in the weight throw and ranks 23rd in the shot put.
MEN'S TRACK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Moisse Irizarry (Peabody, Mass.), Freshman, UMass Dartmouth
Irizarry was named LEC Track Rookie of the Week for the first time after posting a time of 8.59 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles at the Wesleyan (Conn.) Invitational, putting him third all-time in program history and qualifying him for the New England Div. III Championships.
MEN'S FIELD ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Tai Barron (Mansfield, Conn.), Freshman, Eastern Connecticut
Barron was named LEC Field Rookie of the Week for the first time after placing eighth in a field of 20 in the pole vault with a mark of 12-11 ½ (3.95m) at the Wesleyan (Conn.) Invitational, which was a quarter-inch shy of his personal best.
MEN'S RELAY TEAM OF THE WEEK - 4x400-Meter Relay Team, Keene State
Junior Jared Hannon (Pelham, N.H.), freshman Brandon Castor (Southwick, Mass.), and junior Anthony Jennings (Middletown, N.Y.) and Alex Medina (Tolland, Conn.) ran the 4x400 in 3:29.31 for 16th place at the Open New England Championships on Saturday.
