KEENE, N.H. - The Keene State men's lacrosse program will travel to No. 10 Tufts in the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship on Wednesday, May 10th, as the Owls received a first round bye.

Keene State, most recently ranked 14th in the New England region, is making its fourth straight trip to the NCAA tournament and eighth overall. The Owls are 2-7 in the NCAA tournament and have advanced to the second round in 2007 and 2010, with their last win in the NCAA tournament coming against Castleton State during the 2010 season.

Keene State earned the automatic bid into the NCAA Division III tournament by cruising past the University of Massachusetts Boston, 28-11, to claim their 11th straight win and fourth consecutive Little East Conference (LEC) championship title. The Owls are currently 14-3 overall.

Tufts, which was ranked 10th in the latest USILA National Coaches Poll, owns a 12-5 record and reached the national tournament after earning an at-large bid, despite falling to Wesleyan, 17-12, in the NESCAC Semifinal. The Jumbos are making their ninth straight NCAA tournament appearance.

The two teams met previously in the regular season on Wednesday, March 8th in the Owls' third game of the season. Tufts used a strong fourth quarter to surge past Keene State, as the Jumbos defeated the Owls, 26-18. The winner of the Keene State/Tufts matchup will advance and take on the winner of the Wesleyan (Conn.)/New England College game on Saturday, May 13th.
